LOGAN, Utah — Mark Thatcher, a veteran of the direct-to-consumer sales channel, has joined Maven as vice president of business development.

Maven, which continues expanding into new categories and sales channels, said Thatcher is well-positioned to bring the company additional growth opportunities.

“We are thrilled to have Mark’s expertise on the team as we focus on a more holistic online strategy,” said Steve Douglas, vice president of online sales. “He brings a demonstrated history in the consumer goods industry and is a strong leader. In the short time he has been with Maven, I’ve seen him bring interdisciplinary teams together around a shared vision and make incredible progress on company initiatives. It’s an exciting time to be on the Maven team.”

Thatcher’s track record of leading successful direct-to-consumer strategies lends support to both retail and online partner initiatives. He previously worked in the fitness industry with top brands like NordicTrack, ProForm and others.

He is filling a key role as Maven looks forward to launching Dr. Oz Good Life later this month, a new partnership with Dr. Mehmet Oz focusing on innovative sleep products and new, cutting-edge sleep technology.

“Maven has a tradition of caring about their customers by improving their sleep and helping their homes to be more beautiful and comfortable,” Thatcher said. “We have real purpose in what we’re doing, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to help the company grow.”

Maven’s products include furniture, mattresses, adjustable bed bases, mattress toppers, protectors, pillows, sheets, comforters, bed frames, weighted blankets and pet beds, among others.

Maven is an omnichannel partner for both online and in-store retailers. Its products are available on more than 50 online sites and in thousands of retail locations.
