SOUTHLAKE, Texas– Havertys will officially open its new store at Southlake Corners in Southlake, Texas on Friday, Aug. 21.

Formerly a Toys “R” Us location, the new store design includes an open layout and semi-transparent display backgrounds, helping to keep sight lines open in the store. Across the back of the showroom, a large mattress department allows customers to “test-stretch” a variety of name brands and  other products. Havertys’ complimentary in-home design service, H Design, also has a dedicated space for in-store consultations.

“Havertys has been in the furniture retail business since 1885, serving the Dallas/Fort Worth area since 1894, and now have 10 stores in this important market,” said Clarence Smith, president and CEO of Havertys. “This year has been challenging and intensified the desire to improve our homes. Our teams have responded, and we take great pride in continuing to provide personalized thoughtful service.”

According to Keith Permenter, branch manager of the new location, the store will be “mindful of concerns during this unfamiliar time” and will follow COVID-19 Centers for Disease Control guidelines, offer contactless check-in and delivery, after hours appointments for at-risk customers and more.
