Police presence outside Lowe’s Home Improvement in Greensboro

Greensboro law enforcement claimed they obtained various calls about an armed man who ran inside the shop. Rayvon Juriel Barrett was arrested a quick time later.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro Lowe’s Property Advancement is open once more right after another person entered the shop with a gun, forcing an evacuation. 

Police responded to the East Cone Boulevard shop Wednesday afternoon. 

Police arrested the suspect, 23-calendar year-outdated Rayvon Juriel Barrett, shortly after. 

No 1 was hurt. Barrett is experiencing many charges, like going armed to the terror of folks, possession of firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer, and carrying a hid weapon. Police mentioned they have been ready to arrest Barrett immediately after receiving calls from many persons. 

Jim Wallace stated the suspect ran by him in between the aisles.

“I assumed someone was in a hurry,” Wallace said. “I imagined nothing of it till I bought to the finish of the aisle and saw two police officers were chasing him. A person had a gun drawn already.”

Lowe’s employees aided Wallace and other shoppers get out unharmed.

Law enforcement didn’t say what sort of gun Barrett may possibly have experienced, other than that it was a handgun. 

Investigators explained a man or woman termed immediately after looking at an armed man around Lowe’s on Utah Spot. Police explained Barrett reportedly ran into the retail store. 

“Violent crime nationwide is on the rise, and I’ll commend the citizen for earning that mobile phone phone,” Interim Police Main Teresa Biffle mentioned.

Detectives said Barrett surrendered.
