ALPINE, Utah – Bedding e-tailer and manufacturer Purple Innovation has committed to donating 10% of net proceeds from the purchase of any Purple product to the production and donation of newly designed beds that are specifically manufactured for the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We all understand the gravity of today’s global pandemic, and with our mission of developing comfort innovations that improve people’s lives, it was an easy decision for Purple to jump in and help,” said Joe Megibow, CEO of Purple. “We hope we can provide some relief to thousands of people through this initiative. All of us at Purple feel fortunate that we can keep our employees working in our manufacturing facilities while also supporting COVID-19 relief efforts.”

Megibow said Purple will be using its U.S.-based manufacturing to build these emergency beds. Purple domestically manufactures and ships all its core products from Utah. Thanks to its vertically integrated business model, Purple can not only manufacture products that are needed but it can also use this as an opportunity to keep U.S. employees working during these uncertain times.

The company has also joined the Brands x Better coalition, a movement that encourages brands to come together to provide much-needed aid.

For every purchase on Purple.com through April 30, the company will donate 10% of net proceeds towards the production of its beds for relief efforts.
